A rewire is the biggest electrical job a property ever has, so it earns proper planning. We walk the house with you first and agree where every socket, switch and light should go, then set out a day-by-day plan so you always know what is happening and when.
Rubber or fabric-covered cable, a fuse box full of old rewireable fuses, warm sockets or barely a socket per room: those are the signs. We work room by room, protect your floors and furniture, chase in cleanly, make good afterwards and hand over the certificate at the end.

How much does a full rewire cost?
A full rewire of a 3 bed semi in Birmingham is usually around £4,000 to £7,500. Size, floors and making good change the price. These are typical UK ranges, not our price list. We always give you one fixed price in writing before we start.
How long does a rewire take?
One to two weeks for a typical three-bedroom house, depending on size and whether you are living in it. You get a day-by-day schedule before we start.
Can we stay in the house during a rewire?
Usually yes. We work room by room and keep the power on overnight wherever we can. An empty property is quicker, and we will tell you honestly which suits your job.
How do I know if my home needs rewiring?
Rewireable fuses, rubber or fabric cable, warm or crackling sockets and too few sockets per room are the usual signs. An EICR tells you for certain, and we will never recommend a rewire you do not need.
