Solihull is a short run down the A45 from our base and it gives us the widest mix of work anywhere on our patch. Land Rover's Lode Lane plant and the units on Cranmore Boulevard bring the industrial side, the offices and shops around Touchwood and the High Street bring fit-outs and testing, and the town keeps us busy either way.
The housing pulls the other direction. The Victorian and Edwardian villas near the parish church and the interwar semis out at Olton and Elmdon are the ones that come to us for rewires, board changes and safety reports, usually when a survey flags the wiring or a new owner wants to know what they have taken on.
